friendship.

Friendship is a special thing that evolves as time goes by. I have a buddy named Yaya, and we've been best pals since our teenage years, creating lots of fun memories together. We laughed, got hurt, and shared secrets.

When we entered college, things changed. We ended up in different colleges, so we had to figure out new ways to stay close. Sadly, Yaya and I talked less frequently. We both made new friends and got busy with our new beginnings. Although we texted now and then, it wasn't as often to keep up with each other. Despite this, we made a point to wish each other on our birthdays, just four days apart. Even though college kept us occupied, we made time for mini reunions during semester breaks, so I don't think we drifted apart.

After college, reality hit us as we started working in different places. It was a big change—from seeing each other once a year to not being able to meet at all. Despite living in different cities, Yaya and I have busy lives, but I'm confident our friendship is still strong. It's not about how close we live; it's about the strong connection we've built.

In many ways, friendship becomes even more special as people put in the effort to keep it strong. It reminds us that true friendship can conquer distance. Even if you're far away, you can still be emotionally close.

In the end, a lifelong friendship is a fantastic journey that changes as we grow up. From carefree childhood to college challenges and now working in different places, Yaya and I have proven that genuine friendship can endure, regardless of time or distance. Our story is evidence that true and deep connections can brighten our lives, no matter where we are.
