meet the days of the week: if they were people
I've always been curious about what it would be like if the days of the week were actual people. Recently, I came across an Instagram template that asked, "If you were a day of the week, which one would you be?" It got me thinking about each day as if they were characters in our lives. So, I decided to describe them based on how I experience each day.
Monday: The Artistic Rebel
Monday is like the cool, misunderstood artist who lives on the edge of the crowd. She’s always dressed in dark, edgy clothes and sports a bold look with messy hair and striking makeup. Because of her unique style, people often avoid her, thinking she’s too intense or not much fun.
But if you get to know Monday, you’ll find she’s actually quite inspiring. She’s all about fresh starts and giving people second chances. Even if everyone else is dreading the start of the week, Monday sees it as a new opportunity. She’s the kind of friend who sticks around, no matter how many times we told her we hate her. Her optimism is something we all need in our lives.
Tuesday: The Cautious Overachiever
Tuesday is like the meticulous student who always wears a fancy suit and has everything in perfect order. At first glance, he might seem stuck-up or aloof, but that’s just a cover for his cautious nature.
Tuesday is actually quite thoughtful once you get to know him. He’s been through tough times and learned to keep his guard up. But when he opens up, he’s an incredibly loyal friend who listens and helps out. His experience makes him a valuable companion, even if he does come off as a bit intense at first.
Wednesday: The Popular Star
Wednesday is the shining star of the week. She’s always dressed to impress with her stylish outfits and perfect hair. Everyone loves her because she’s always the centre of attention.
But behind her glamorous facade, Wednesday can be pretty sharp with her words. She’s known for making cutting remarks and using her popularity to get her way. Once, she was a close friend, but I realised it was best to move on from her. Wednesday’s charm hides a less friendly side that can be hurtful.
Thursday: The Sweetheart
Thursday is like the all-star athlete who’s also the nicest person you’ll ever meet. With his shaggy hair and friendly attitude, he’s the guy everyone loves.
He’s not just good at sports; he’s also great at helping out and being there for his friends. Thursday is the person who tutors others for free and is always willing to lend a hand. His kind heart and reliability make him the friend you can always count on.
Friday: The Social Butterfly
Friday is the ultimate social butterfly. She’s always smiling and greeting everyone in the hallways. Known for her lively personality, she’s the one who makes every party a blast.
Even though people sometimes think she just wants to party all the time, Friday is actually very considerate. She respects your boundaries and encourages you to enjoy life without pushing you too far. Her infectious energy and kindness make her a friend who’s great to have around.
Saturday: The Fun-Loving Joker
Saturday is the funny friend that we all need who can make anyone laugh, no matter how bad their day is. He’s full of jokes and has a punch line for everything to help you brightening up even during the toughest situations.
But don’t let his playful side fool you. Saturday is very aware of how others are feeling and knows when to stop joking around. His ability to cheer people up and understand their emotions makes him a fantastic friend.
Sunday: The Caring Comforter
Sunday is the caring, dependable friend who’s always there for you. Whether you need a movie buddy or someone to talk to, she’s the one who will show up with a smile and a helping hand.
She’s like the mom of the group, always making sure everyone is okay and has what they need. While her selflessness is wonderful, it’s important for her to take care of herself too. Sunday’s warmth and kindness make her a truly special friend.
So, that's how I see it. I've done my best to describe each day of the week as if they were people, based on my feelings and experiences. I want each day to bring something unique to the table—Monday's fresh starts, Sunday’s comforting presence, and everything in between. However, after reflecting on these descriptions, I’m not entirely sure which day best represents me. How about you?
