If my heart were a skipping stone

I'd gladly cast it, for you alone.

For if I crash, or if I burn,

You'll still be there, my friend, to turn

The darkest day into a light,

And make the wrongs all turn out right.

 

Though clouds may fall and oceans dry,

Our bond will never fade or die.

For you are there, a constant guide,

A light in darkness, by my side.

 

The ups, the downs, the twists, the turns,

Together, we have weathered and learned.

For you have been the rock, the glue,

The one who always sees me through.

 

Distance may keep us far apart,

But you'll always hold a piece of my heart.

Through life's ebb and flow, you remain,

A constant in my joy and pain.

 

So know, my dear and cherished friend,

Your love and presence, without end,

Will always mean the world to me,

And shape the person I aspire to be.
